Read the book of Job when you have the time and inclination. And I literally mean when you have the time, because depending on the translation you have on hand, it can be a loooooong read, particularly the conversations between Job and his friends. You really dont have to be a Christian to appreciate the story of Job its the classic story about truly bad things happening to a good person and more importantly, why these things were allowed to happen.
